Zewa Feeds Cichlid Bites C5 is the large-pellet (1.2–2 mm) variant in the Cichlid Bites range, formulated for Oscar (Astronotus ocellatus), Flowerhorn, Jaguar Cichlid, Jack Dempsey, and Green Terror.
Large cichlids require a correspondingly large, dense pellet to satisfy vigorous feeding behaviour and high caloric demand. The C5 pellet sinks at a controlled rate while being substantial enough for large cichlids to bite into forcefully, delivering meaningful nutrition per bite without excessive quantities per meal.
Sharing the same 44% insect protein core as C4 with 88% digestibility, C5 reduces ammonia output in the high-bioload setups where large cichlids are typically housed. Spirulina and natural carotenoids maintain and intensify the striking colour patterns of Flowerhorn and Red Oscar. The formula is broodstock compatible.
